Abstract

6906. Moore, G., and Upton, G. March 19. Helical springs.-Consists in providing upholstery springs 15 for railway-carriage and other seats with end coils 16 and crowns 15<a> projecting upwards and towards the centre of the seat, and in arranging the springs one within another, as shown at 15<c> in Fig. 1, or one over another as at 15<b>, Fig. 2. The ends 17 of the coils are pressed into holes in the seat &c. frame 14, and the inner ends may be connected together by loops or the like 18. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 2381/72, 2847/96, 6543/98, and 8188/03, [all in Class 52, Furniture &c.].
