3785. Holland, W. Feb. 16. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Spring surfaces. - Springs for chairs, sofas, couches, &c. are connected to the bands a on which they are supported by two or more loops c, pressed out of the band and attached thereto at one or both ends. When the loops are attached at both ends, as shown in Fig. 1, grooves d are formed therein to engage the coil of the spring, and in the alternative arrangement the end of the stamped-up part is bent round the coil of the spring.
