Abstract

1751. Schmidt, K. Jan. 24. Arc lamps.-A solenoid projection-lamp has a core 4 guided by rollers 8 and attached to an upper carbon-holder 6 and to a piston 5 which is fitted with antifriction rollers 10. An arm 18 pivoted to the piston, is connected by a link 20 to a stationary bracket 11, and engages a roller 16 on the lower carbon-holder, which slides in a tube 12 on the bracket.
