Abstract

29,506. Schmidt, R. Dec. 20,1909, [Convention date]. A r c lamps. - A brake-regulating device comprises a rocking frame k, Fig. 1, pivoted at i to a bracket m, and carrying two pawls u, v which act respectively on smooth and notched rings attached to a chain-wheel n. The pawls have a toggle action so that a small movement of the frame causes a large movement of the chain-wheel. The pawl u, when not in engagement with its ring, rests either on a pin y on the frame or on a stop z. The pawl v consists of a pin attached to an arm w, which, when the pin leaves the notched wheel, is supported by an arm x rigidly attached to the rocking frame. The rocking frame is actuated by a spring land by the core f of a differential solenoid e. The Specification as open to inspection under Section 91 (3) (a) states also that fumes from the globe escape through a chamber 1, Fig. 3, formed by plates b, 4, attached respectively to the main casing 2 of the lamp and to a lower casing 3. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
