Abstract

A r c lamps.-In a projecting-lamp the electrodes are guided by tubes, as shown, or by rollers on their holders engaging stationary rods, and are secured to a chain 7 laid in a groove in a wheel 6, attached to which is a toothed wheel 5. A lever 3 is carried by an arm 2 on a series-solenoid core 1, and has a toothed part which is pressed against the toothed wheel by the action of a spring 4, except when the core is in its lowest position.
