Cleansing-compositions; saponaceous cleansing- compositions, materials for making; solidified spirits. - A high flash - point emulsion of petroleum spirits, such as petrol or benzine, is prepared by means of an aqueous solution of casein or a caseinate containing either boric acid or a salt of boric acid such as borax. The emulsionizing-solution may also contain hard soap, or vaseline oil or glycerine. When casein is used, the product takes the form of paste; when sodium caseinate is employed, a hard soap-like mass results. The products may be hardened by adding formaldehyde or soap. The emulsion may be used for cleaning purposes, alone or in admixture with soap.
