Blow-pipe burners; burners, mounting.-A blow-lamp comprises a hollow base 1, fitted with an air-pump 2, gas inlets 6, 7, a hollow standard 3 having a tap 4 and a union 5, and supports 8 on which is pivoted an oxygen generator. The generator consists of a peroxide-container 15, closed by a screw cap 16 and a water-vessel 9 fitted with an outlet nozzle 10, which has a shield 12 formed with a screw socket 14 and a blow-lamp nozzle 13. In operation, the generator is turned over so that the socket 14 engages with the union 5, and the water is brought into contact with the peroxide. Air or gas passed through the base 1 and upright 3 is mixed with the oxygen in the shield 12.
