Abstract

29,911. Gaunt, C. F. Dec. 22. Buttons. - Relates to buttons of a known type, shown in Fig. 1, in which the loose shank is normally withdrawn into the body of the button by a spring. According to the present invention, instead of a U - shaped wire shank, a shank consisting of a sheet-metal blank, Fig. 5, is employed, and the spring is made of a slightly-curved metal blank, pierced with a central hole through which the shank passes. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 150/63, 12,975/91, and 4213/93.
