Nov. 24 Seat adjustments.-The outer fixed framework C of a vertically adjustable music stool is fitted with four vertical racks D engaged by pinions E carried on cross-shafts F on the movable part A, which is formed as a box to contain music. The pinions are locked in any adjusted position by pawls H, I pivoted to the part A at a, b and pressed into engagement by a spring J. The pawls are released by operating an arm K pivoted at d, e to the pawls. Guides P are provided.
