Seat adjustments.-A chair, in which a hinged spring-controlled seat c is connected to a pivoted back b by means of a link c', is provided with an adjustable locking- means for the back comprising a spring- pressed bolt d<4> engaging a segmental rack e fixed to the back. The bolt is actuated by a lever d', which may be held to retain the bolt in disengagement from the rack by a turn-button f.
