Abstract
27,231. Humann, A., and Teisler, E. O. Nov. 23. Cryolite, artificial; aluminium fluoride.-Aluminium fluoride is produced by heating with water finely divided sodium silico-fluoride or double combinations of sodium silico-fluoride with sodium fluoride, with finely divided alumina-containing materials such as alumina, bauxite, kaolin, sodium aluminate, clay, &c. If soda is added, cryolite is obtained mixed with silicic acid.
