Abstract
21,897. Brawn, C. Sept. 25. Wind-guards for motor-vehicles are made of three or more ply wood, with or without metallic strengthening - strips. Fig. 7 shows one construction in which a lower screen 1<a> is mounted so as to be adjustable inwards and outwards, vertically, and in inclination by means of rods 3 fixed thereon, which enter sockets 9 pivoted at 10 to rods 6, adapted to slide in tubes 5 secured to the dash-board. An upper section 1 has thumb-screws 12 pivoted to its lower edge, and adapted to slide in guides 14 on the section 1<a>, so that the upper section may be adjusted inwards and outwards relativelv to the lower section 1<a>, and also may be folded over thereon. In a modification, there is only one section, and an apron secured to its lower edge and falling over the dash-board replaces the curved end 2<a>. The rods 6 instead of sliding in tubes 5, may be bifurcated to engage the upper edge of the dash-board.
