Abstract
14,928. Boyd, J. June 26. Boat-disengaging gear.-Relates to disengaging-gear of the type described in Specification 21,109/96, in which top-heavy hooks fall and release the davit tackle when the boat is waterborne. The hooks A, mounted on pivots in slotted standards C, are both arranged to face fore, the lanyard D passing at the stem over a pulley G. The forward movement of the hooks is limited by a stop c<1> on the standard C. Z- shaped T-bars H carrying the standards C are formed with upright extensions h<3> secured to the stem and stern posts, thereby strengthening the boat.
