12,506. Kilburn, B. E. D., [Pieper, C.]. July 27, 1908. Explosives.-Consists in an explosive containing perchlorate of ammonia, sodium or potassium nitrate, and starch or starchy material. The perchlorate and nitrate are preferably in equal molecular proportions. The example given contains 44 parts of starch, 32 parts of perchlorate of ammonia, and 24 parts of sodium nitrate. A suitable binding-medium may be used if desired.
