Abstract

12,287. Adam, J. M. May 25. Fibres, recovering.-Relates to an air-suction terminal designed for carrying away dust and for separating such dust from fine fibre, with which it may be mixed. An air-suction terminal a<1>, fixed on the floor level, is connected up to a suction device. The mouth of the inlet is protected by a palisade of open ended stakes b<1> which arrest the fibres and allow dust to pass. In a modification, the suction duct a<3>, Fig. 4, terminates in a hood arranged parallel with the floor, the inlet being protected by an annular palisade. In another form, the suction pipe is situated in a pit g, Fig. 8, which is closed by a plate d having radial fingers f and axial fingers b<4>.
