Abstract

Density separators. - Dust-laden air passes along a conduit a to a cyclone separator c, in which fibres and larger particles of dust are deposited, and is then passed by a. fan &c. d to a filter b, in which the finer remainder of the dust is removed by textile filtering-material and which has a fan e at its outlet. The fan d is preferably disposed on the top of the cyclone separator, reduces the power required by the fan e at the outlet of the filter, and is run at such a speerl as to produce a slight vacuum in the filter. According to the Provisional Specification, the fan d may, alternatively, cause a slight pressure in the filter.
