Abstract

11,696. Wildt, H. H. Nov. 26, 1908. Circular machines.-Relates to modifications in the machine described in Specification 29,216/04. In order that the frame and dial needles, which during loop-transference are in rubbing contact, may, during loop-formation, intercalate at approximately equal intervals, the ribber bed is constructed in two parts, one part 1 being stationary, while the part 2 carying the rib needles may be shogged by mechanism operated from a stop 20 on the time-wheel or controller 17 of the machine. The part 2 is keyed to a sleeve 4 on the upper end of which is a collar 7'with slots 8. Wedge-shaped pins 9 carried by a plate 11 mounted on sliding pins 15, pass through a stationary disk 14, and, when depressed by means of a lever 17<a> and a sliding rod 18, effect the required shogging-movement. When the plate 11 is released from the pressure of the lever 17<a>, the pins 9 &c. are lifted by coil springs 16, and the dial 2 is returned to the original position by the pressure of the cams.
