Abstract
11,210. Russell, J. C., and Lord, A. F. Nov. 2, 1908, [Convention date]. Insulators for sections of overhead tramway and like conductors are made with an insulating bodyportion b with brackets a, a at each end thereof. These brackets carry ears on each side, and have a projecting web m, Fig. 3, which fits a slot in a renewable runner h. The conductor ends pass along a curved recess and through a passage i in each bracket, and the ends are secured by clips l. A perforated running bridge n is arranged in the centre with an air gap at each end. The holes o serve as feeder terminals if the insulator is used at a distributing-point, and to take the strain of the trolly wire insulation bolts d are provided.
