Abstract

11,803. Siemens-Schuckertwerke Ges. June 29, 1905, [date applied for under Patents Act, 1901]. Electric railways on the overhead - conductor system in which bow collectors are used. Conductors.-Relates to an arrangement of the conductors for bridging over the section insulators, tightening-screws, and the like. Fig. 1 shows one form of the arrangement in which a special bridging-wire p is used. On a vehicle approaching the section insulator k, its collector passes from the conductor m to the bridging conductor p and passes back to the conductor m after having passed the insulator. Figs. 2 and 3 show a modification in which the special bridging-wire is dispensed with and the conductors themselves are arranged to bridge the insulators.
