3007. Hudson, A. Feb. 8. Envelopes.-The closing-flap 4 of an envelope 1 is provided with a long sealing-tongue 6, which is passed through coincident slots 8 in the side flaps 2 and the bottom flap 3, is then passed out of the envelope through a slot 9 in the bottom fold, and is finally gummed down on the front of the envelope adjacent the address. Any attempt to steam open the tongue causes the address to blur.
