Breech-actions, sliding breech-block. - Relates to small-arms of the type having a detachable magazine held in the handle or grip, and consists in providing a magazine catch comprising a spring-influenced bolt and a releasing- slide therefor. Preferably the bolt a and the spring-controlled slide a<1> are connected by a stud and slot a<2>, a<3>, so that the bolt is withdrawn on pressing-in the slide. The nose of the bolt is cut away at a' and engages with the.recess d<1> in the magazine. A supporting-swivel e is attached fixedly to the slide as shown or by means of a hinge. The spring may, alternatively, operate upon the bolt.
