221. Johnson, R. T., Trevithick, J. H., Huxley, G., and Simon, Ltd., H. Jan. 5. Dust, confining and expelling on generation.- Stive, flour, or dust is removed from the compartment B above the rolls A, A' of a roller mill by means of a current of air which enters through an adjustable door or valve G, and passes over and down the guard-plate H, under the lower edge of the plate near the nip of the rollers, and over the surface of the upper roller A to the front of the machine. The feed-plate F may be dispensed with, the feed then falling directly from the feedroll C to the grinding - rollers. Specification 9704/04, [Class 59, Grinding, crushing, &c.], is referred to.
