Gas cooking-stoves.-A stove of the kind in which the combustion products circulate completely around a closed oven is fitted with a burner in the top flue c, and with an exterior auxiliary jet burner m adapted to heat the outer casing b and thus induce an updraugbt in the flue e when getting the oven into working condition. When heating the oven, the combustion products pass through the flues c, b, f, e, and are then directed to a small flue, above the top right-hand corner of the oven, leading to the chimney j. When it is desired to heat the top plate only, the damper k is moved so as to allow the gases to pass directly to the chimney. The top plate of the oven is fitted with rings and covers, as in a kitchen range.
