Cooking-stoves.-An ordinary oven, a steaming- oven, a boiler, and a warming-chamber are combined in a cooking-stove, between outer casings of which the air for combustion is circulated and becomes heated. The ordinary oven a is arranged above the combustion chamber e in which gas, oil, charcoal, or other fuel may be burned. The water heating chamber b is separated from the oven by a flue space l, and communicates with the steaming-chamber c above it. The warming-chamber d is above and separate from the steaming- chamber. The air for combustion enters at openings i in the base of the outer casing 8, and traverses the spaces h, g between inner casings before entering the combustion-chamber by openings k. The products of combustion pass over the sides, back, and top of the oven, and are led by way of openings l<1> at the front to a flue space f between the casings and surrounding the upper chambers c, d. When desired, the products of combustion may be directed into the cooking-oven a, by opening a door 20, Fig. 3, at the base of the oven, a suitable outlet at the back of the oven to the fluespace l being also provided. Guide-plates 18 are fitted to the oven bottom, and a hinged plate 19 may be turned so as to direct the flames either into the oven, as shown in Fig. 3, or into the flue l. The casings may be coated with a non-conductor of heat.
