Spraying, preventing.-Splash-preventing nozzles for water taps are made adjustable in diameter so that a standard device can be secured to any one of a number of taps of the varying diameters usually met with. Fig. 1 shows a split and tapered barrel with which is provided a cylindrical lining. The barrel is corrugated to retain a clamping-ring 5. Fig. 3 shows a screw-threaded and tapered barrel 10 which is screwed over a threaded cylindrical lining 9. The lining may or may not be split as shown in Fig. 4. As a modification of this form, the lining may be tapered and the barrel cylindrical.
