Abstract

1351. Everest, T. Jan. 19. Lubricators.-A sight-feed lubricator is constructed with a vessel or container a mounted on a support b over the visible-feed tube d which is connected to the steam pipe e. The feed tube g is shouldered at i to fit the seating and is reduced below to form the nozzle m. The tube g is slotted at l and is screwed into the cover so that it can be raised to form an ordinary regulating feed lubricator when steam is not used. A plunger n is threaded into the top of the feed tube g so as to open or close the slots l as desired. An opening with a plug p is provided for filling. A tap may be provided at the bottom for drawing off water or oil.
