Reducing-valves for use with self-contained divers' dresses are adapted to give a constant supply of air or oxygen for varying pressures in the oxygen cylinders and at varying depths. The valve nozzle k<1> may be covered by the valve k which is free to slide in the casing as the diaphragm l moves. The pressure on the lefthand side of the diaphragm is the same as in the pipe leading to the valve ; on the right-hand side it is connected by a by-pass m to'the delivery pipe j. An injector n may be fitted.
