Abstract

14,224. Callow, J. Jan. 20. Moulding dough.-Relates to devices for automatically delivering portions of dough from a divider or like machine to the trays of a prover. Fig. 1 shows one form in which dough portions X, discharged from a machine A such as is described in Specification No. 1342, A.D. 1908, are received upon a conveyer W and transferred to the trays of the prover by means of a bar 7, pivoted to a shaft 8 and oscillated by a cam 9 acting upon an arm 10. After portions X<1> have been discharged from the machine A, the conveyer W is moved forwards for the reception of other portions X, so as to become fully charged, by means of a ratchet device 6, the cam 9 being arranged so as to operate upon the arm 10 when the conveyer is fully charged. In a modification, the dough portions are delivered by tilting the conveyer W. Fig. 4 shows a modification in which the dough portions are received upon a tilting table 16 hinged at 19 to a rack 17, which is reciprocated by means of gearing 18. The dough portions may be discharged during the traverse of the table 16 by means of a fixed plough 22, Fig. 6. Fig. 7 shows a device in which the dough portions are transferred by means of tongs 23 operated by a cam-actuated lever 29 and moved to and from the trays 33 by means of a crank disk 27.
