Lubricating-pumps.-A cam-operated lubricating- pump for internal-combustion engines is fitted with a removable barrel c, and a container e for the lubricant is fitted above the pump body b, which is bolted to the motor cylinder a. A plate g, having recesses i leading: to the suction port n and a plug g<1> for shutting-off the space above the delivery valve t, is screwed into the chamber d between the container and the pump. The plunger m is driven in one direction by a tappetp and lever o<2> operated by the cam x, and in the other by a spring q. The stroke of the pump is limited by a pin z on the tappet working in a slot formed in the bearing. The end of the pivot to which the tappet p is attached is formed conical in order that the tappet may be tightened up if it becomes loose.
