Wireless telegraphy.- Related to transmitting- systems for wireless telegraphy in which a spark less oscillation-circuit caused to oscillate by impulses of one direction only supplied to it by utilizing the first half-oscillation of condensercircuit having a spark-gap. Instead of damping the latter circuit by suitable resistance to such an extent that only the first half oscillation is utilized, a valve cell g is inserted in the oscillation-circuit c,f, in such a position that only the first halfoscillation from the spark-gap j parses through the cell. Instead of an ordinary spark-gap and valve cell, a spark-gap possessing the function of a rectifier may be used, such as the Wehnelt cathode tube described in Specification No. 72, A.D. 1908, or an asymmetrical spark-gap in which the current passes from an iron electrode to mercury contained in a porcelain vessel.
