Abstract

8475. Leins, A. E. April 16. Stays.-Relates to means for supporting the lids of dressing-cases and like bags, trunks, cases, and portmanteaux in the open position. A forked strut C is attached rigidly to one end of a coiled spring, the other end of which is fixed to a clip E mounted on the rear edge of the body of the case. The forked end is provided with a pin or pin and roller D, which engages a slot B in a plate A attached to the lid.
