Tyres, elastic other than pneumatic; felloes or rims.-A solid elastic tyre with lateral beads has a strengthening-backing of fabric extending upwardly around the beads and incorporated with the material of which the tyre is made. Such a tyre 1, Fig. 1, with fabric backing 4, is secured by transverse pins 6, the ends of which are embedded in the fabric and take under the hooks of a twopart clincher rim 7, 8. Lateral flanges 12, which may be removable and are connected by bolts through the felloe, assemble the rim parts and compress the base portion of the tyre to force the ends of the pins 6 into the fabric backing.
