Abstract

19,130. Kampfe, F., and Kampfe, O. Aug. 26. Razors, safety. The thin removable blade, instead of being bent transversely as usual, is bent longitudinally so as to have a curved cutting-edge. In one form the curved guard comb c, Fig. 1, is formed in one piece with the frame a, and has clips a<2>, d' at the sides to hold the blade d. The clip d<1> is pivoted to the ear 8 formed on the guard, and is secured in the locking position by a latch at its free end which engages with the holder or frame a. At the back of the frame, lugs 11 and screws 10 are provided for adjus!ing the cutting edge of the blade. When the blade has two cutting-edges, holes in the longitudinal axis of the blade engage projections h, Fig. 6, on the guard comb. In a modification, the guard comb c, Fig. 9, is hinged to the frame a which has overturned edges on the three sides for supporting and positioning the blade d, while the curved guard comb is forced against the underside of the blade by a rod e, actuated by a headf on the screwed plug f in the handle b. The frame a may be formed in one piece with, or suitably secured to, the handle b.
