17,346. Preston, R. T., and Theobald, H. E. July 29. Fastenings, b a y o n e tjoint. In order to render difficult the unauthorized removal of bayonet-cap electric lamps, the holder has a fixed internally slotted sleeve and one or more revoluble locking- sleeves having slots to receive the pins on the lamp cap. In one form, the pins are pushed through longitudinal stots d, in the fixed sleeve b, into the rectangular or V-shaped slots g of the locking-sleeve f ; the lamp and sleeve f are then rotated until the pins are pressed into shallow slots h in the sleeve b by the contact plungers i. In a modification, the revoluble sleeve has an upper flange and fits within the fixed sleeve, slots being provided in the flanged end to receive the pins ; a second revoluble sleeve, provided with shallow slots, may rest on the first, and its rotation may be limited by engagement with a projection in the casing. In either form a loose sleeve- 6, provided with two long slots, may be provided within the other parts.
