Tyres, elastic other than pneumatic.-The tyre is formed in sections each comprising alternate disks A, B of rubber and felt threaded on a metal strip C with turned-over ends. The outer or tread portions of the disks are grooved to receive a rubber strip D, a metal strip E and a metal yoke F having arms extending through the wheel rim K. The arms of adjacent sections are bolted together at I, rubber washers G, L being interposed. A cover comprising rubber bands M, N, O is fitted and secured by means of wires P, which pass through the tyre body and are linked together at the sides, as shown in Fig. 10.
