Syringes. -A hypodermic syringe comprises an outer casing, within which fits a hollow plunger b lined with glass or similar material c<1> and closed by a plug d and screw-cap e, forming a receptacle for a number of needles. An antiseptic may be enclosed with the needles. A light spring f, encircling the plunger, serves as a buffer between the head b<2> of the latter and the cap of the outer casing, when the plunger is drawn out.
