Combustion Methods Of Internal-Combustion Engines
(AREA)
Abstract
7804. Peck, W. March 31. Gas or explosive-vapour engines.- To facilitate starting, the combustion or vaporizing-chamber is provided with a jacket into which hot gases are sent. These gases may be the exhaust from another engine or the products of combustion of a furnace. Fig. 2 is a plan of a two-cylinder engine showing the combustion chambers B, jackets A, and inlet and outlet pipes K and 0 respectively, for the accommodation of the heating-gases. The invention is applicable to the engines described in Specifications No. 4037, A.D. 1902, No. 23,493, A.D. 1903, and Nos. 2079 and 15,625. A.D. 1904,
