In order that the spindle d may be readily withdrawn from its bearing, one ball race is formed on the underside of a collar e on the spindle, while the other one a is formed on a shoulder or ring on the body b of the bearing. The races may be formed of hardened rings which are separately secured to the spindle and body b respectively. The body b of the bearing may be filled with oil, so that the bearing-surfaces are efficiently lubricated.
