The pulley B around which the hoisting-cable passes is mounted to slide in guides C on the jib. The sliding of the pulley B is controlled by a rope F, which is fixed to t h e framework at d and passes round a pulley or pulleys G at the jib head. When the jib is raised, the pulley slides down the jib, so that the load remains at the same height.
