Loom picking-mechanism. - Relates to devices for effecting, at will, the pick of the shuttles and ensuring that the picker will not act when the shuttle is not in its box. If the shuttle is absent from the box brought to rest in line with the race under the action of the rod J, the swell spring H is not pressed out, a bell-crank lever G, G' remains stationary, and a pivoted lever arm E remains in such a position as to engage a collar c on the picking-shaft C, which is thus slid back as the arm moves with the lay B, so that the picking-tappets C<1> are not struck by the pins D<2> on the arms D<1>. The device is fitted on each side of the loom.
