18,456. Taylor, E. F. Sept. 13. Folding boxes.-A folding cardboard box is made from a rectangular blank, Fig. 2, scored at the lines a, b, c, d. To the portion c-d, which forms the bottom of the box, are secured, by cement or wire stitching, two end flaps e scored so as to lie flat when the box is folded. End pieces of paper or other flexible material are cemented to the extremities of the sides and the bottom of the box. Fig. 5 shows the box set up, the sides being provided with cord handles.
