Teeth, stopping.-The dried and slightly-calcined precipitate produced by adding sodium silicate to basic beryllium nitrate is powdered and mixed, alone or with glass or pure clay, with a 52 per cent. solution of orthophospheric acid, nearly saturated with aluminium phosphate containing a little zinc or strontium phosphate. The transparent vitreous compound so formed is used as a cement for pearls and fine porcelain, and as a filling for teeth.
