Abstract
20,240. Entwisle & Kenyon, and Crawshaw, L. Sept. 21. Mangling and wringing machines; washing- boards.-A drip board A, or a mangling-board, for wringing or mangling machines is provided with a corrugated or ribbed rubbing-surface B of wood, corrugated sheet zinc, brass, or other metal, rubber, or any suitable material. The board may be fixed or attached to the machine. In one device, the front and back are provided with slides which engage projections on the frame. In another, the back slides G engage a stay rod J and the front slide H is made open at h<2>, so that the board may be hung vertically from the stay rod, or the back may be supported by swing arms, and hooks fixed to the board can engage the stay rod to support it in a vertical position. Instead of a sliding board, the rubbing-surface maybe applied to a pivoted board as described in Specification No. 24,894, A.D. 1895.
