HOLDER FOR INVERTED SAD-IRONS.

To all whom it may concem:
' Be it known that I, JOSEPHINE SHELTON, a citizen of the United States, residing in the borough of Manhattan, city, county, and State of New York, United States of America, have inventedanew'and useful Improvement in Holders for Inverted Sad-Irons.
The principal object of my invention is to rovide a firm support -to hold any ordinary at-iron in a reversed position.
My invention is intended to furnish a device whereby any ordinary flat-iron, ma be used in a reversed position, and from w 'ch it may be instantly removed and used in the ordinary position 1n ironing. It also acts as a stand or rest for the flat-iron, when used in the ordinary method of ironing. Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letter's Patent is:
In a support for a flat-iron, the combination of an upright standard, a clam mg device at the lower end of the standar and a forked late at the upper end of said standard for holding a flat-iron in a reversed position, said plate having the ends thereof turned upwardly.
