Abstract
15,377. Bristol, J. W., and Bristol, W. W., [trading as Bristol, J. & W.]. July 11. Rights to Patent relinquished. Conduits, apparatus for laying in.-Relates to couplings for the rods used in hauling electric cables in conduits &c. The parts are screwed together, but in such a way that, when once screwed up, one section cannot turn without the other. A squared spigot C in one with a collar c<1> is screwed into the end of one section A and fixed either by a pin h or by rusting in or the like. The end of the section A is reduced at the part g' so as to form with the collar c<1> an annular recess for a lip on the union G. The section D is provided with a socket for the spigot C, and is screwed externally to fit the union G. The spigot C may be made round, and be prevented from turning by a key and keyway. The spigot may be upon the section D, and the socket in the section A. The recess for the lip on the union is then made by a collar pinned on to the reduced portion g<2>.
