Abstract

14,503. Hodgson, M. E., and Hodgson, Ltd., G. June 30. Loom dobbies.-To obtain a dwell of the operating-mechanism of double-lift dobbies when the shed is open, and to give even motion to the healds when the warps are crossing, the T or rocking lever 15 of the dobby is operated by a lever 12, which is supported at its other end by a link 13 and is actuated by a crank-pin 9 working in a slot in a cross-arm 11. The crank carrying the pin 9 is secured to a shaft 7, which is driven by spur or nogging wheels and bevel gearing from the main vertical shaft 2 of the loom.
