Abstract

Ozone. - In an ozonizer which is adapted to be operated directly from a dynamo by means of low-frequency currents, a rotating metal cylinder a, which is divided along its longitudinal surface and is either bare or enclosed in a dielectric, is mounted vertically within a glass tube b, which is covered externally with a similarly - divided conducting-layer e. The cylinder a is connected by one of two terminals h to the earthed pole of a high-tension transformer, and the other transformer pole is connected by one of other three terminals g to the layer e. Air is drawn in through orifices o of the crown m, and down through the tube b by means of a ventilator.
