Bags.-Metal frames are made with links pivoted so as to turn inwards or outwards to vary the capacity of a bag or purse, especially the folding bag described in Specification No. 22,138, A.D. 1896. Fig. 2 shows the frame, with the links c turned inwards, having rings for the handles, and a lock or fastening i. Fig. 3 shows the bag, folded in at one end, and having a stiffening-bar l, pegs h, and rings g<1>, as in the former case, but, in this case, the opening may be made the full width of the bag.
