Boat raising and lowering gear.-Relates to means for getting out boats, the davits being placed further apart than the length of the boats, and connected with each other to swing out or in together. The davits B, B<1> carry the levers A, A' placed at right-angles to the davits, to which the rods C, C<1> are attached, carrying at the other end the pulley-blocks D, around which passes the chain or rope for turning the davits, the gear being arranged on the deck. The pulley-blocks carry pieces sliding on the rod F, which guides them in their movements, and stops or buffers come in contact with the plates K or G at the end of the movement.
