Abstract

25,220. Sieverts, W. H. A. Nov. 17. Incandescent gas burners. - The burner head comprises the combination of a plane, conical, or curved annulus b of perforated metal with a perforated tubulus regenerator c surmounted by a flame spreader d. In the form shown in Fig. 5 the mixture of air and gas from the bunsen tube i, and in that shown in Fig. 4, air only from the passages k, m, is supplied to the regenerator c, whence it issues laterally with increased velocity and in a highly - heated condition. The construction permits of the use of an approximatelyhemispherical mantle, of which the height is from one to one and a half times the diameter of the burner head.
